Main Cast: In case you were wondering, that’s Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. We’re excited to witness their chemistry because they’re both great at comedy and action. “That’s what’s so wonderful about it,” Bullock tells Entertainment Weekly, “you can take old sets and quickly make them new.”
“The fun part about the male-female narrative is that we can now flip it on its head because it’s no longer “This is the woman’s role, this is the man’s job.” You can muck around with all of it and come up with a completely new dynamic. And that’s what we did,” she says, praising the duo’s “real comedy chemistry.” “with putting it together.
Plot: The Lost City combines the elements of a romantic comedy and an adventure comedy into a single film. “Brilliant but reclusive author Loretta Sage has spent her career writing about exotic locations in her popular romance-adventure novels using attractive cover model Alan, who has dedicated his life to portraying the hero character, Dash.”
Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire who hopes she can guide him to the old lost city’s riches from her current storey while she is on tour promoting her new book with Alan. Alan goes out to rescue her, wanting to show that he can be a hero in real life as well as in her stories. “Throwing the unlikely pair into an epic jungle adventure, they’ll have to work together to survive the elements and retrieve the ancient treasure before it’s gone for good.”
The Lost City is similar to the 1984 film Romancing the Stone, which followed a romance author on a mission to recover lost wealth in order to save her kidnapped sister. Channing told Entertainment Weekly, “They just don’t produce movies like that anymore.” “This is one of those situations where we’re trying to figure out whether we can come up with a new version of that genre movie… This is a one-of-a-kind, original storey.”
Release Date of The Lost City: 25 March 2022 ( All Global Theaters )
